When assembling a multi genre project, you must come up with something creative and eye catching for the audience. The whole point of a multi genre project is to do something new, not just write a research paper or create a powerpoint. The project is supposed to be something new and creative, something that will give the audience a new perspective or a new look on a idea or argument. You should connect and interact with your audience and find a way to present your ideas that captivate the audience. Your project can be serious or funny, and most of the time a humorous approach may help you connect with your audience more, and they may be more willing to listen and agree with your argument or topic. While your argument should still be persuasive and present your own opinions, it should still take into account the other sides and other possible arguments of your research. Also, especially in our classes case, if your multigenre project is based off of a previous research paper or essay, your project should be related, but not an exact replica of your essay. For example, if you wrote an argumentative essay on why abortion should or shouldn't be legal, you could choose for your multimedia project to be a video found on the internet of the effects childbirth and pregnancy affect women and their physical, and their mental states. While your project should be appropriate, there are no such thing as “conventional” multi genre projects. The projects should be part of your imagination and creativity so if you believe that the genre help your argument or idea, put it in!
